After buying and paying for this classic Harley it finally arrived at the American Iron Magazine offices in Stamford, CT today.

I sure do look big next to that little motorcycle. And no way I would ever survive a 3300 mile on that seat. Time to start looking for a Harley seat big enough to give me some comfort on the Motorcycle Cannonball Run in September. I’d heard from the truck driver last week saying he probably won’t make it here until this weekend on Monday so the early arrival is a welcome surprise.

We rolled it out of the truck trailer just as the sun was setting, so not much light to check it over in the cold. Yes, that is snow on the ground and it is VERY cold here in Connecticut. More snow expected tomorrow.

It was more complete and in better looking condition that I had expected. Can’t wait to get it home to study it and figure out a game plan. We on this classic Harley forum will be following along on the tear down, discovery and rebuild. Then, if all goes as planned we will then follow along the actual ride. Wish me luck!
