Motorcycle Cannonball Rider Dave Kafton & 1912 Classic Harley Single
Here is one of the rarer motorcycles for this coast to coast ride – a single cylinder Harley. Good luck Dave!
Motorcycle Cannonball Rider #12 Dave Kafton – 1912 Harley Davidson
Hi, To start with, I have been involved in old motorcycles since I was a 15-year-old kid. I am now 55. Some of you may know the Iron Dinosaur that I race every year in Davenport. I have been making my living repairing and restoring antique bikes full time for the last 20 years . I am the vice president of the Fort Sutter chapter of the AMCA here in California. My wife is very understanding about my obsession and my daughter is also involved in the AMCA. I got bit by the pre-16 bug about 15 years ago and had this little 12 single mocked up when I heard about the cannonball. It just sounds too crazy to not be a part of! I feel it will be quite an honor to participate in such a monumental event such as this. I can hardly wait. ~ Dave Kafton
