    Re: OEM vs. REPOP

Looking at the pics again, #4 is probably OEM, too. I see some areas where there may have been pitting and the part was media-blasted.
#2 and #3 are earlier versions without the 'dogleg'.

if a repop part is so good that you cant tell it from oem i dont see a problem with using it.

OEM or Repop? These look suspiciously like those fittings you can get from colony.IMG_2371.JPG

I have another tank that is original and is getting repaired and painted right now.

Those fittings are not replaceable as they were welded in at the factory. If someone has replaced those, they did an incredible job.

Here's a comparison. These are for sure OEM.IMG_2370.JPG

What I am looking at, is the dia. of the fitting connection at the tank.

    Re: OEM vs. REPOP

I would assume that was a running engineering change at the factory. H-D had an army of automatic screw machines that made fasteners, and fittings. Changes like that are mysterious and lost to time, but not at all uncommon in manufacturing.

I just picked up a set of these the other day part # 33200-48 . These are Reproduction ,i havent had a chance to fit , but they Match the Oem perfectly in shape and Design . The only difference i noticed was these were soft , plyable and made from modern rubber .But they would definitely pass for OEM
