The oil is where it is, but is not where it isn't and will deviate to where it's needed and not where it was......![]()
Bob,
When the oiler is installed the casing needs to be cut open so that when the oil is pumped past the spring loaded check valve it fills the void and then works its way past the coiled inner casing to the solid wire within.

Just wanna know how I determine my intake manifold is fine or the packings need to be replaced. Tried to take the bushings out but couldn't. I read in Palmer's and my maunal but didn't get it. Must admit I didn't read patiently tho...........

Best thing to do is bolt it up and do a leak test on it. If they are airtight they are fine. If you need to replace them you might consider Peek seals for it.
