    H-DŽ (66006-29F) 6V Battery review

    Lets look at it closely.

    • Translucent.
    • 6-month warranty from date of counter purchase (1 yr. if on a new showroom m/c)
    • Same Taiwan HDŽ instruction-sheet formatting (means H-DŽ is entrenched in Taiwan industry).
    • Oddly enough, no initial charging precautions about over-heating the battery with an automotive 6 V charger, which would immediately warp the separator plates.

Why not go with a sealed battery and avoid ANY chance of an acid spill/leak/drip and the associated awww-$hit when the acid gets on your paint/pipes/chrome?

As long as the electrical terminals that are visible when the cap is on it are the right shape, I would take a modern sealed battery in a minute. Everyone's looking for a 12v. sealed battery that will fit inside the fake case that looks so good (thanks for the gift of that, Erdos!). I thought I had one, once, but I lost the number. I think it was Panz4ever who axed me about it, and I went looking again, but couldn't find it.

This is the one I got from him...

And if originality is not an issue they sell 6 volt sealed on ebay for around 60 bucks

Putting a strip of tape on the bottom of a 3/8 open-end will hold the tall nut on the post screws.

An box-end wrench will get trapped by the height of the nut.

    Hey Panz4ever,
Is that a lead acid battery cut opened and reworked or is it some kind of allready premade case to hide a sealed battery in ? If it is a premade case where can I get one.

    Thanks
