    Motorcycle Cannonball Day 2

Day one of the coast to coast ride on pre-1916 motorcycles is done. Some quick fact: 70+ bikes originally signed up. Something like 44 showed up in Kitty Hawk for the start of the event. I believe about 35 started and finished the first day yesterday.
Our first day was sunny and cool most of the day. We ran about 150 miles on the first day and the roads were wonderful, Many of the bikes ran out of fuel between the stops but most carried spare gas in their saddlebags. My large tanks were fine.
Today we go 223 miles and predictions of rian and possible thundershowers. Should be more challenging in distance and riding conditions.
Selma, my 1915 Harley, is running well and the starting issues are still here but getting a bit better. Towards the end of the day yesterday my clutch was getting tighter and I was concerned it might be a problem, but a few drops of oil on the foot rocker cleared that up.
Wish us luck today in the rain.

Good luck to all and be safe. Definitely raining today and chance for tomorrow as well.
If it doesn't fit force it. If it breaks it needed to be replaced anyway. If a problem cannot be solved, enlarge it.

He solved the problems and got down the road until it broke again.

He has pulled out for the day and is on his way to Maggie Valley to rebuild it again and rejoin us on Monday.
