    Get a Grip

Found these in a group of parts I bought. They were repackaged and marked "early originals $8" My question for those that would know, are these original? They look good but repop guys are getting pretty good with some things.

I'm gonna say those are re-pops. IIRC, the originals have a more distinct, recessed outline around the lettering and very clear letters (no imperfections like that 'R').
However, those are pretty nice looking grips either way.

Here's a link to an earlier discussion of this same subject: http://www.caimag.com/forum/showthre...real-from-fake

The very last picture in the first post shows an NOS (bright yellow) grip. I'm sorry but don't think anyone came up with a definite answer in that thread either.

Thanks for the input DTF. If repops, they are decent. At least i didn't loose a bunch of money on them.

Somewhere on this forum, going way back, Bigincher posted a detailed examination of the early grip without the screw hole.

    Re: Get a Grip

Whoa! Huge difference. Pretty clear my "$8 early originals" are repops. Thanks guys.
