Thread: Exhaust Leak Solution

    Exhaust Leak Solution

I have seen and heard about many Indians with an exhaust leak where the header manifold slides into the port on the cylinder barrel. My '46 was no exception. I figured I'd share a solution I came up with that has proven to be leak free for many miles so far - and very easy to do. I can't imagine I'm the first person in 80 years to do this, but I've never heard of it being done. Perhaps it will help cure the annoying leak for someone else. Anyway, I'll let the pictures tell the story.

Have used Hi-temp copper sealant and then have used pipe expander.
