1970 FLH Mirrors - Round or Rectangle?

Looked throughout parts manual and could not find a reference for the correct mirrors. I'm pretty sure they would be round but can anyone confirm this?

    Thanks!

This is from a 1970 catalog

Accessory catalog for 1970 shows both round and rectangular, so either will be correct.

Sidecar you beat me to it.

The photo in the 1970 Riders Handbook shows a round mirror on the bike pictured. The '71 listing of the "Chrome Group" specifically states a rectangular mirror. The '69 listing just says mirror. But I don't have a '70 dealer order book to see if it is specific or not.

Seems like either is fine. Personally I put Round mirrors on my Road King because round mirrors just look Better on Motorcycles!

I know this is not a reliable source, but chances are this FLH has the original factory mirrors on it.

Catalog shows part# for E as 91875-70. This article in 1970 Hot Rod mag, shows picture with rectangular mirror

Thanks for all the info, fellas! A friend is about to buy an OP 1970 FLH with 13K miles from a deep pocketed dude who has over 45 motos all OP and low miles. He began "hoarding" them years ago and is now slowly is selling a few at a time. I was shown some pictures of at least 5 OP 1970 FLH's in his warehouse, each a different color. The sparkling green/white example that my friend is purchasing has rectangular mirrors. My 1970 FLH with 7900 miles has round mirrors with the "Harley-Davidson" embossed mirror stems. Saw many references online that showed bikes with both mirror types but nothing definitive.

Round or rectangle both seems correct.

This forum is such a great resource.
