Old paint, not just OP is preferred by many today VS total restored
    Shiney is not for everyone
True, I do too. (another 48 has appeared, will post tomorrow)
Rigid pans typically sell in the $17k to $22k range, yes there are exceptions at both ends.
I suspect a fake bidder or seller shenanigans, I have no proof.

I'm thinking the same, $44,300.00 & No Sale in the real world that would be where two fools collided, but it's relisted starting at a little over $25,000.00. Somebody's just Fishing, & Chumming the waters...

    We think the same

Good morning my fellow citizens -
This panhead owner, as promised, has maintained the closest surveillance of 48 pans on ebay.
Within the past week, unmistakable evidence has established the fact that a series of expensive panheads have been listed on ebay.
The purpose of these listings can be none other than to make the sellers rich and the buyers poor.
Upon receiving the preliminary information of this nature last Tuesday morning at 9 A.M., I stepped up surveillance.

I remember the first time this happened by the way. It scared the sh!t out of parents and me too.
I had no clue what was happening but I knew it was bad ...

    Round two

He was just testing the waters. Now that he knows what it might have sold for, he's adjusted the price accordingly. As we know, the folks who bid on it last week might have decided differently this week. Or as Rob stated his shill bidding "friends" are not in the running.

And that blue bike? $40K with an electric starter. To each his own.

Here's another one that has (supposedly) gotten some pretty high bids. Looks nice and with some cool accessories. I don't think those are factory stamped numbers.
