Thread: 1949 burgundy color.

  1. 1949 burgundy color.

    Ciao to everyone.
I live in Italy, and I'm going to paint my pan (FL49). I want to paint in burgundy color. For many reasons, I will be happy if I will find a similar color to the original. The problem is that I need a standard kind of paint, and i'm in doubt among RAL 3005 (https://www.coloriral.it/ral-classic...005-rosso-vino) RAL 3004 (https://www.coloriral.it/ral-classic...-rosso-porpora), RAL 3003 (https://www.coloriral.it/ral-classic...3-rosso-rubino) and RAL 3002 (https://www.coloriral.it/ral-classic...rubino-perlato)
If you have a tip for a paint code and a brand of paint I can find here...I will follow it. And in your opinion, what is the color more similar to burgundy among those that I've linked?
    Thank you.
    Angelo

    Angelo,
None of those colors are correct, this is what you want.

Had a chance to talk with John on the phone a couple times (not about paint) and really a nice guy. You have to admire what he accomplished in his field. That burgundy is the cats meow....

John wont ship paint overseas due to EPA regs etc but he may ship you a 2" x 2" sample. He did for me.
