    1948 HD Tools

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where I can find a picture or listing of the tools that the MoCo would have supplied in a 48 panhead rider's tool kit?

John, that stuff is usually pictured in the accessory catalogs and sometimes the riders handbook. I have both if you want me to look.

Thanks Robbie, I have the pic from the 48 accessory catalog but I don't think that is the actual kit that was with the bike as there are several tools in it that are for flathead as well. All of the tools shown on that pic wouldn't fit in the toolbox. I dont have a 48 pan riders manual so I don't have that photo.

Thanks, but I have that catalog as well. I doubt they put all those tools in a panhead kit. There are a few tools pictured that are flathead specific. But I don't know.

No tools came with the bike, if you wanted tools you bought the "all models riders tool kit" from the accessory catalog.
These are general tools, the valve spring cover lifter may be flat head.

I didn't know that the bike came without tools. Thanks for the information.

Did you notice that it says "All Model Riders Tool Kit."?

Yes, I saw that and that is why I figured it was not the kit that would have been supplied by the MoCo with a panhead. My error was in assuming that there were tools supplied with a new bike. Thanks to all for the replies.

Wow I always learn something new here. I did not know that the tools were not in the tool box when you bought the bike new either.. Thanks
