    I like those early ironheads, I have a 65 XLH and a 57 XL I am slowly putting back together

    Float bowl gasket,tune up & not charging...regulator.Another locally is NICE OP low mileage '57.This one is earlier by 800 units.

    Early version of DC-1 carb.This has choke cable mount to front of horn,metal horn brackets & is #57XL 170x,so contradicts the K/XL forum theory of choke mounting to serial #

    more pics 1957 sporty.This bike had a Taiwan Tedd voltage regulator that lasted many years & probably 20 miles LOL.They sell an Accell unit made in USA.Anybody have experience with those working?Also what battery are you running,Tedds or some thing else?

    The current owner is 3rd.2nd was his cousin who bought it in 1960 already repainted.
    Midnight metalic blue with white was a 1957 option but this is definetly a repaint
    He has the aftermarket bags, original tank emblem & other missing bits that were on it.
