As a club officer Carl has access to the judging sheets. If he says it was DQed for bad numbers I believe him.

I believe him also. But and there is always a but. What if somebody bought a set of better cases for this bike? I don't think that is the case here. Most likely the two sellers saw the buyer a mile away and gave him the run around.

I don’t know how to post a picture on this site

Is this the same 36 that is being parted out on eBay?

It is a pain in the ass to post a picture here. You have to upload the picture to a server and then post the link to that server. I use www.photobucket.com
But now as compared to before photobucket will not resize your pictures. So some may appear very large now.

jdiesel25, I use imgur.com and Iíll be happy to post a photo of your SN if you email it to me. Shortly Iíll send you my address via PM.

Photos of both BNs would also be a good idea, as would a picture of the left case casting number which should be 112-35 and just above the drain plug. Does the left case have a date code? Should be no date code if itís a 36 case.

No date code on the R-H case either if 1936. R-H case may or may not have casting number 112-352 outside.

Unless the engine is torn down and the cases are split there would be no way to see date codes. Engine date coding didn't start until the 1938 year of production as you well know.

jdiesel25, I received your reply to my PM and I was going to send a response but your inbox was full.

Although I myself havenít seen a clear picture of this 36 SN, if the two people who told you it is good are right then Iím wondering if there may be some confusion about which bike was disqualified? I know at least one of the Knuckles you were trying to sell had a non-factory SN and although it was stamped 42, perhaps there is confusion between it and this 36?

Have you never seen a date code outside a Knuckle left case? For obvious reasons I asked the owner if the left case had a date code but I also advised him no date code if the left case was 36. Do you follow? And I mentioned casting number 112-35, again for obvious reasons.

As for the R-H case, I said no date code on it either if 1936. And I also said the R-H case may or may not have casting number 112-352 outside. This too was done for an obvious reason.

BTW, you seem to have forgotten something you said in March 2017.
