    Oddball KHRM part found!

    I saw this part recently and the owner had no clue what it was. I thought about it (What has a bolt on crossover?) and it jumped into my head so I took a chance and bought it. And it was what I thought it was, a brake crossover shaft for a KHRM with the raised controls option. Really a rare piece if someone was doing such a bike. Otherwise just an odd novelty!!

    As I move along my racing journey I'm getting more interested in KR's.

    Don't throw it away Robbie, I might need it one day

    Robbie,

    What’s the difference between a KHRM and a KR engine wise?

    Thanks

    KH=900cc vs K=750cc
    KHRM was very limited production

    Thanks Duffey, I was trying to find out if there was anything special about the motor or whether it just just like a KH

    All Ks (including KR) use the same size intake ports. KHRM uses KH type cylinder with clamp on exhaust rather than KR type push in. KHR and KHRTT use specific cylinders for the long stroke. KHRM was not very different than KH, but the factory parts lists pretty much leave them out and original examples are very rare. There has been a '56 for sale the last year or so but I don't know if it is original or built from mixed parts.
