    45" two bolt transmission leak

I find every time I take my 38 out for a spin I have a slipping clutch.

Each time I take it apart the fiber plates have oil on them and I'm at the stage now where I need to sand blast the metal plates as they're smooth and shiny.

I took apart again on the weekend and I now have two cups sitting underneath the transmission it to ascertain where the leak is coming from.

Early indications are that its leaking down the clutch push rod and I was wondering if one of these little seals that say "for 41 and up" would work in an earlier transmission?

If not, does anyone have another suggestions as the old felt washer set up isn't cutting the mustard.

I probably need some new clutch springs too if anyone know where to get those.

    Thanks

I can't help with the leak, but I believe that Ralph Camp sells the springs.

Most 45 trans leaks are due to lack of a functioning vent or too much oil.

Oil level is OK but I'm not sure about the vent, where is it? on a 2 bolt

    Dave,
    I didn't receive your e-mail.
I have clutch springs and seals you need.
Out of town now, but if you will call after tomorrow, I'll be back in the shop and can help you.
