4899.50 comes to over $200 per can. Basically, cans sight unseen. I doubt they could get their money back selling individual cans. But you never know, you know?

    Re: Motor oil

I have seen them for $300-400 at swap meets in the '80's. I know things go up and down sometimes, but not much goes down in this hobby. I'd say if the buyer wanted to make money on that case, he or she could.

That's a LOT of MONEY to tie up in a case of oil. What do you do with it??????

    Re: Motor oil

At the oil and gas swaps I visit, there are can that go well over $1000. But usually M/C cans are $150 and under. Last HD cans I bought were about $50.

    Re: Motor oil

As stated, unknown condition of all the cans, selling off the cans a little at a time to keep the price up. Difficulty in shipping overseas, not all commodities can ship to all countries. And just not enough profit margin to make it worth it.

Hopefully that will stay intact for it's historical value and end up in a museum, if they rip that box open they should be flogged!
