Years ago I successfully welded and changed the stop tab on a pedal (I think a softail pedal) to make it so I didn’t have to move my feet so much to hit the rear brake on my 1974. It worked quite well. When I put a Barnett scorpion clutch in I felt like I had the whole bike sorted out. Then on a whim I switched it to half moon footboards. It made a world of difference (better) as far as reach and rideability... I have an ‘82 with forwards and like the footboards so much better. There’s really nothing quite so comfy as as footboards, a seatpost type seat and a set of FL handlebars in my opinion.

I am maybe used to my Vespa floor, lol. I stand corrected and have edited my post.
