    Olive drab paint - source

    Hello,

Does anybody have a source for olive drab paint? Prefer US based for shipping ease.

    Thanks

    Thank you!

Is the common thinking lighter or darker? Darker being earlier (pre WWII through ‘43) lighter being later?

I bought a gallon on Ebay a few months ago dirt cheap. Have not sprayed any yet but I am about to. Seadub

Military OD paint is flat. The paint that H-D used in the teens - '30's was glossy.

Federal Standard nos. 34086, and 34088 are both listed as Olive Drab. These numbers are the modern equivalent of WW2 military colors, and are not related to any H-D color, other than WLA OD.

If you go to the RapcoParts web site their drop down for color selection shows early and late WWII OD lusterless, etc.A call to them will probably answer all your questions.I'm sure they have heard them all.
