Thread: Correct sidecar for 1976 Harley FL

  1. Correct sidecar for 1976 Harley FL

Is the correct sidecar for a 1976 FL the LE. Everything I have found shows LE fits through 1966 which would be round swing arm. If so is there a seperate sidecar frame part to fit the 1976 square swing arm. Next model I find listed is CLE which starts with 1979 model. I understand that this sidecar frame mounts to rear of motorcycle frame and contacts kick starter. Thanks!

Yes, and several folks on several sites have answered you. There is a clamp on bracket for the square swingarm. They show up on Ebay regularly. They also show up in the factory parts books, which means you can actually see one and don't have to believe the folks trying to help you, which you obviously don't.
