    Rocker arm oil flow

Is the oil flow to all knuckle rocker arm shafts adjusted by twisting the shaft or, only the small port heads? If not, how is the oil adjusted on later heads? Thanks in advance. Jerry

Neither, 36 to 38 shafts have a groove cut in them and oil feed is adjusted by the position of the shaft in the rocker box.
39 to 47 used a new shaft with precision holes to deliver the correct amount of oil to the rocker arms.
I have seen grooved shafts in later engines, meaning discarded parts found there way back into engines, dangerous if builder fails to adjust.

Thanks for the response. Does the precision hole need to be located at a certain position or is there a groove all the way around the I.D. of the rocker arm?
