Thread: Servicar fork length question

  1. Servicar fork length question

    looks like I may have found a neck for my Servicar frame with a 1" stem .are forks the same length from a Servi to a Big twin or even a solo 45 ? I would like to use a WG front end with a fender & big stock for for the WG . is the neck length the same 5"

    To run a WG on servicar you need the raked trees

    Thanks , I see that Paughco makes 3 & 6 deg trees , which ones will I need ? & will I need a stock length WG or a longer one

    Animal,
    He means you need the Harley-Davidson raked trees as used stock on Servi-Cars. The rest of the fork is all stock wide glide. As to longer tubes, that is up to you. stock bikes used stock forks with raked trees. And no, 45 forks ( both Servi and solo as well as Sportster) are for short neck lengths, Big twin and '58 up Servi are longer stems.

    I finally have a bit of time to get back to lookin for info . I don't mean to beat a dead horse , but wonderin why the raked trees that are available from Paughco & some other sources won't work if I was to go with a 1" neck .

    thanks Chris . I just fsaw that the 1" neck I was lookin at is still available so I will prob order it in the next couple of days & the get a set of trees on the way too.

    Also Servi-car and Sidecar forks have a spacer on the spring to boost the weight limit.
