Re: I need a picture of the WLA horn mount

Thanks to all of you, I KNOW I will get this thing on the road eventually. My job keeps me gone most of the time. I didn't see my house or shop for 248 days last calendar year, so that means I had to do all my "catching up" in the 117 days that I was at home. I have bought parts on e-bay and had them shipped to my house and then come home and put them away and forget where I put them. Anyone else do this? I am reluctant to admit to entering the curmudgeon /dotard point of my life, being honest I have to admit that my mind some days is like a very well oiled steel trap is some days a very rusty barely operable steel trap, so I can still use the steel trap analogy and just leave the traps condition to the opinion of the reader. I am going to look for a better place than "Imageshack" to resize my pictures, and one that wont ask me to commit to a year of their service as I will probably only use it a couple of times. As to the subject of this "HORN" I am going to put it on a shelf, and try my best to remember where that shelf is at and concentrate on getting it running, I cant think of a scenario of where I would need to blow a horn on an immovable object to warn something to get out of its way or just to signal a friend to "Look at me" I will need the horn very little with it sitting atop my motorcycle lift in the shop. The build continues.....

Hey Goat, when you get back on the horn project, here is the WLA mount and the horn. Good luck.

Note the different size holes when comparing the left and right. I believe it is due to the horn originally being mounted, on WL's, with those brackets going up and down. The larger holes were for the top mounts and the smaller ones were for the horn mounting to the front fender...I think

No; the horn is mounted in a springloaded fashion.
The larger holes are for special bolts holding a curved springplate.
This way the hole mount can vibrate which allows the horn to work better.

Thank you Fabe and thank you for the additional info Lib45. I appreciate them and especially the photos of the mount.
