That's pretty neat! I had the idea that Munro's bike is in a hardware store in Invercargill, NZ....my neighbor stopped there last year on her way to Antarctica and told me it was on display there.

That is awesome, but I dont think I could go over 100mph in it without crapping my pants. You cant be claustrophobic by any means.

I’m stunned, Clyde bought that! Will have to get a hold of him. For the others here, among other things, he built the best electronic ignition for an Indian I’ve come across, no failures out of four fitted to my machines in use for decades.

Short story here. Me and the wifey spent a week in Daytona with the Cannon Ballers prep’g for their rides. That famous photo of them lined up on the beach came at some expense to many. By the 5th machine to roll off, the hard packed surface was churned into quick sand. A team of us spent a taxing hour pushing many folks off to include Clyde on a heavy Henderson determined to bury itself up to the axles. As we finally reached pavement and he knowing we were headed off to West VA for the road run said I wish I was going with you guys instead, and was gone...days later he crashed heavily in Colorado.

"And that, your honour, is how the fight started!"

I can see it now, years of grey beards like us, arguing over who has the original Indian, who has the the original Captain America. Oh, and while I'm at it, the Wright Brothers did not achieve the first flight, Richard Pearce did.

Anyway, you have a very cool bike there, even if the lock washers are the only parts off Bert's bike.

heheheh (if I could post it, I would insert a very big "tongue in cheek" here.

After Burt made his trip to the US he left the bike here and took the engine back to NZ. He had the second bike there to test the engine in. It was much easier and cheaper to transport an engine instead of a motorcycle.
I remember when this bike was hanging on a collectors wall in Volcano, CA. It was pretty rough. Dean Hensley was the owner who had it glamorously restored. After his untimely death his family showed the bike for many years.
