Barnfind Original Paint 1913 Indian Twin

Well I feel like I won the lottery this week. After chasing down some old barn find motorcycles I was able to buy 3 of the 5 bikes. Find of a lifetime I'd say. And once we did the deal I was so anxious to get up there with cash and trailer to complete the deal.

I bough this original 1913 Indian single speed twin. I am learning as much as I can about this model but believe it is pretty complete and correct other than the shot tires and 1920s era Schebler carb. Any and all info is appreciated as this is new territory for me.

I am thinking this might be a great basis for a long term series of articles in American Iron Magazine.

I also bought a pair of Vincents - a very rare pre-war HRD A Comet and a later Rapide C. I plan to clean them up, get them running and mechanically sort them out. I o not plan to paint or replate them as they are original only onxe and these three look pretty good to me as found.

And no, at this time they are not for sale.

Great stuff Buzz. All of my favourites. The 13 looks good, the rapide has had some changes, the Vincent guys will no doubt chime in when the time is proper. The series A.... there are very few experts but the Somer Hookers of the world will know the ins and outs. I have gone through the process of restoring a Rapide and even though I am an Indian guy, it's my favourite ride. The hedstrom carbs are around but will set you back probably 3K for a good one.( I have owned 3)

Are you sure you could order a schebler for your Indian in 1913? I know you could by 1915...
