Thread: Dave's new project

    Re: Dave's new project

Well the project has taken a turn for the worse and made way for a new project.

I had an opportunity to grab some WR barrels so the old project has been replaced by a new race motor project.

What is the story on the drilled holes? Did the MoCo do that or was it a racer option?

    Re: Dave's new project

The drilling was done by someone at some point Fabe to reduce weight I assume.

As a side not my little velocity stack made the bike perform poorly. It didn't pull as hard in 1st and 2nd and then there was no acceleration in 3rd. I took the stack off and back to pulling hard through all the gears. I was amazed at the difference with and without.

    Re: Dave's new project

There’s been lots going on since my last post on this tread and I’ve been enjoying my racing. My WR engine is coming along nicely and I’ve been thinking about what to do with my current race engine when the WR was done. I decided that I would build a second race bike and let my little brother ride it.

Here it is ready to be log booked.

When the WR engine is ready to go, that will go into my original race frame etc

Nice to see a little action on this thread, good looking bike above (blue/white), is that the one you are going to sponsor your brother on? Lucky guy, he must have been nice to you growing up! You are lucky to have a place to ride something like that, flat tracks were once very common here in the states but now are few and far between. Keep us up on your progress, might be time for a new 2019 Flat Track Action thread.
