Barnfind 1913 Indian , HRD, Vincent, Thruxton & Norton

Just back from checking out these amazing barnfind classic motorcycles. They were pulled out of a barn in PA and moved to this garage in New England for safe keeping by a friend. I was invited up to look at them and see what kind of condition there were in.

They are NOT FOR SALE at this time, believe me, I asked.

Amazing. I've always held onto the hope that I will discover something like this one day.

    Howdy Buzz,

Very tasty. If it was me on the verge of the spring riding season and mindful of preserving my kicker leg I’d leave that Velo the last to be started....if at all. Thruxtons make starting BSA 441’s and old mag Sporties a non event. In the preferred blue on silver and hump seat combo and judging by that Amal GP and Lucas mag it’s likely a late 68 or earlier with motor pre VMT 870ish and frame 19700.

Here’s some basic info on them at my site.

    I'm no expert but I think a '15 Indian had gusseted forks,so I'm guessing it is a '13 or '14

That's an HRD Series A Comet, pre WWII, pretty rare machine.

Yup,that's why I like it. The only thing better is if it had one more cylinder. Hard to find examples of Series A this side of the pond

Series A Vincents aren't exactly plentiful anywhere, especially the twins since they only made about 80 before that pesky world wide war thing got in the way of proper motorcycling adventures.
