Works great if you like funky seats that leak worse than when you started.
Notice Tom Terrific is not selling a fix for the BT pumps...& nobody else is saying send me your pump, for 200 bucks it will be perfect.

ACF has done several for me over several years w/the flow mods for $200.00 and so far, not the first sign of sumping. Seadub

Many times the feed pump is really not the real issue on a flathead. The cam gear which drives the feed pump is the issue. The cam gear journal clearance to bushing is the real problem.

American Cycle Fab built my 39 U 6 yrs ago and that bike has never sumped, it can sit through the winter for months and not sump at all, i have a stroker shovel that sumps in just a few weeks of sitting, it's on my to do list this winter to try to fix. i may try a new pump body or have ACF repair it. Seems Paul and Joel have a good technique for repairing sumping pumps, i have no idea how it's done but they have quite a few clever ideas to make the old iron repairable and reliable. just over 50k miles on the U flathead and still running strong, 40 HP and 57 LBS torque.

I just sent ACF a note asking if they will correct the check ball & spring on my '48 Chief. For something this delicate, I prefer to spend the money and have an expert do a good job rather than have me make it worse with a specialty tool.

If they are doing the motor they will do it as part of the rebuild as SOP. I too have sent them a few engines for rebuild and have a 46 knuckle they are finishing up right now and hope to have it back next week. No sumping problems. Last rebuilt in 1976!
