    thanks again guys ! will attempt to make the wrench and save the nut ... I am always trying to improve my machining skills but have a long way to go. ...Eric - if you've made a similar wrench in the past , can you show me a picture of it?? is there anything out there that can be modified to work instead of starting from scratch.

    Variations of wrenches for taking off, or putting on slotted lock nuts. Of course the go-to tool for that job has been the trusty hammer, and chisel but you know what a mess that makes. These wrenches are a pain to make, and you may only use it once or twice in a lifetime, but it's almost always worth the effort.

    Axeric - I tried loosing the 6 nuts which hold the flywheel to the crank but the bolt turns as well and have no way to hold the bolts from spinning ...

    Unfortunately, Jaleesa, you have to take all the bearing caps off, and remove the crankshaft, and flywheel as an assembly. The nuts inside the flywheel/clutch are also safety wired. . . They never make it easy
