    Tweeking Fender Tabs

Hi all, I've got a Tedds springer whose fender tabs are not lining up parallel with the fender. Can I safely heat the tabs and bend them with vise grips? They only need to move about an eighth of an inch. Thanks in advance. Jerry

For that little of movement, I wouldn't use any heat. Use some thin copper or aluminum to protect the tabs from the Vice Grips & bend them. Doc

Use an adjustable wrench instead of vice grips.

Thanks to both of you. I didn't know if I should use heat or not. Jerry
