    XR-750 Orange

Does HD still offer the race orange that was used on the XRs and flat track bikes? Seadub

I think you're looking for Racing Orange S28552.
The matching PPG number is 62685.

I believe the early XR750 machines were painted Jet Fire Orange.

I believe you're right. The color I found is from 2004 I think it was. It was a start. A good search will find the early color.
In the end, how different can it be?

One is more redish and the other true orange. Not sure which. Seadub

You probably want the earlier color. It's out there, you'll find it. Call the dealer, get a part number.

Actually, I want the PPG 62685. It is a true orange. I am tired of red and black and have been wanting to do an orange build for several years now. The '04 Racing Orange looks perfect. I have the tank graphics to make it a true race tank. I can see my builds finished in my head from conception but now, I am seeing this one in color. Seadub

And I hope we get to see it too, before too very long. When are you shooting for, next summer?

No, not next summer....I try to finish 2 bikes a year. This will be my 3rd this year and have been planning it and gathering for years. I hope to have it fitted and ready to run and ride in a month and torn back down for paint and finished for the 3rd time before Christmas. Seadub
