    Looking for Surer Vee info

My cousin inherited a first generation Super Vee and we're trying to find any info on it that somebody might be willing to share.

Exploded drawings (parts), maintenance info such as clutch adjustment. timing etc.

If anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated.

If you could get ahold of some old Supercycle mags you might find what your looking for.Must be late 70's or early 80's. I seem to recall that it was a segment of a small block Chevy, but that's a really fuzzy long time ago...

A single "slice" of what was it? A 350 Chevy V8? Pistons, rods, bearings, at least.
What an interestin' restoration project. Really simple. You'll be able to figger it out. And genuinely "rare." These days. There's a Super Vee club you can google.\
Except for the parts mentioned, just remember the entire engine and bike were designed by non-engineers. Shadetree mechanics. But they tried!

They started out with the front two cylinders of a 350 Chevy V-8. The idea was to get a big inch motor for a Harley with the availability/low cost of repair parts from any auto parts store (avoiding the H-D dealer, who didn't want to work on "choppers", anyway). The first two series were "shadetree" (S shaped manifold to fit the Chevy square ports, outside chrome flywheel in place of the crankshaft dampner, points in a vacuum advanced distributor) , But the later 3rd & 4th series had better head porting/electronic ignotion/cam profiles. It still had oil in a sump, and a kind of "goose-neck" frame. They're different, alright. Doc

Unfortunately he's on the east coast of Canada and I'm on the west coast. I gave hime a hand with a couple of things when I was out there two weeks ago but now I'm having to garner info to be able to pass on and help him out. He's not afraid to tackle the work...just lacking in info and know how so I'll be on the phone with him about it when I learn more.
