Thread: Old motorcycle rescue

  1. Re: Old motorcycle rescue

I've been lurking this thread since it started until the rolling chassis appeared; i more or less quit watching after that. At first, i thought, "The lucky guy, big project for someone with no experience. Hope this goes well, guess we'll see." Then, in an unbelievably short period of time, with a couple posts in between, the chassis is together. I became a disbeliever the moment the rolling chassis appeared. To myself, I thought, "This thread's a waste of time." Then a complete engine appeared like a rabbit out of an empty hat. Cute, but not at all cool for what this forum is ALL about. Now, uncle Prank's most recent post; clearly loves the attention received.

Before I reached my conclusion this thread was a clown show, i was anticipating learning some things, because i enjoy seeing what other guys do to get these old bikes together. The fact of the matter is anything this author knows about owning one Honda when he was a kid that translates into supposedly getting this 75+ yr.old motorcycle together is unbelievable, if not outright bullshit. If it is true he actually did build the bike, then the cryptic way he's presenting this so-called build is sick ego. The world being as it is these days, seems more and more nuts are exposing themselves, they leak slime that sticks on people everywhere they go.

Up to and through "uncle Prank's" last post, this thread is a waste of time and a dis-service to anyone who reads it. So, you got my response; i took the hook.

Uncle Prank, if you had any integrity, your last reply took this thread one post too far. My suggestion is we all quit responding to this thread. Let uncle Prank fondle his plastic balls by himself.

I did as well Paps, and that is nothing to be ashamed of. I think we all go by standards of common decency; or at least predictable expectations of human behavior.

Previous posts have pointed out it's the same bike as the Tobacco Barn Harley. Of course, who can believe now that it actually came from a tobacco barn in the first place; probably just another fabricated story....
