    1947 Servicar on Ebay

Another ($20,000.00) Servicar on Ebay doesn't look very correct for the year to me?

lots of wrong parts on it, lots of repop also.
paint, floor boards, key switch, speedo, air cleaner, kick pedal, seat, fuel line & filter, & that's what is obvious with a 1 minute cursory glance.
looks great for a rider, probably should sell in the 12-14k range tops though.

Try to put one together painted and running for less then $15,000. It won't be easy unless you have a 30 year stash of parts.

In California the "CA" numbers are used when there is some issue involving registration or change of ownership. They are issued by the Highway Patrol, or at least they were when I got mine on my 45 in 1988.

    Couldn't see the vin number.
I'm always astonished why people put in all that effort to assemble a bike and neglect the finer points. IE; No attention to hardware.

That just tells me they're not putting any effort into it at all. Just slapping it together as fast as they can.

Hardware cuts into profits way to far.

My personal bikes do not have correct hardware & i don't care. You guys are anal about this stuff.I did an estate sale of 20+ antique Harleys. They had crappy paint ,hardware etc.He said he could have built half that many if he had done proper restorations.

I'd rather have a few properly done restorations than a dumpster full of hardware-store bikes.
