1942 Servicar no reserve on ebay

Saw this on Ebay this morning - might be of interest, says it was built for WW2? looks pretty good from photos, but not sure if much of it is original ( VIN is a WLA?).

Made up story. Servi-Cars were always stamped "G" despite who used them. '42 civilian trim bikes were essentially all made before we were officially in WWII. Just a made up story to justify having a WLA engine where it never was originally.

I know a lot of us appreciate your knowledge of bikes like this, Robbie. I know nothing about 45s, and Servi-Cars so it's nice when someone hacks a trail through the B.S. . . Pretty Servi-Car, though

Thanks Rubone, I suspected there was a lot of "misinformation" about this Servicar. I really like my Servicar ( and know it is made up from multiple years & repop items) and would like to think many others out there looking for one. Right now there are several listed on ebay and from my limited knowledge of them all of them have significate issues. This one says it will run for a second but only using starter fluid - to me this doesn't even sound right as it should be a fairly quick & easy fix. Don't understand why someone would sell it without taking the time to correct what should be such a small problem.

Betcha he doesn't have that special serrated washer for the transmission support bracket. I have yet to see a servi-car that has one except mine.

My '41 Servi-Car had the small box with factory trim. The guy I sold it to took it it off and put a later box on it!! And it had a serrated washer.....
