    101 Chain Guard

Well fellow 101ers here is a question .
I have seen the Rear chain guard bracket mounted inside and outside the rear frame lug, My suspicion is it would normally got to the outside of the frame , to give more chain and sprocket clearance .It probably gets fitted inside many times as its much easier when removing to replace chains and sprockets Just wondering where others have it on their bikes

    regards Phil

    Re: 101 Chain Guard

Played with mine today and having on the Outside is not the easiest option But more clearance , I would think it is very difficult to fit with wheel in place , I guess that,s why a lot the pics I looked at last night (google) appeared to inside the frame lug .My other 101 that I ride has it on the inside too..

Mine is inside with fender brace mounted on the outside. That is if you are looking for how it is mounted on the rear.

If I mount it on the inside on my bike, the guard would be at risk touch the chain. That damn one-piece chain cover is a nightmare to remove/replace with the wheel in place...It would be a much easier task if the cover had been parted.
