    Pics of my 73 FX

    Here are some pics of my 73 FX. I took them in my shop right after an oil change. I bought her a few months back and have had a smile on my face ever sence. You can't tell by the pics but she is Emerald Green.

    Yep, looks real nice, that's coming from yet another 73 FX owner.
    I see you have the original Bananna calipers on her.
    I thought I was the only guy that was still running those things.

    Hey Mike what's the chances of having 3 73 FX's on the same forum?????

    Hey Bill and Fbonadies, I too am still running banana calipers. Rebuilt the rear one 2 yrs. ago, kits are still available from Jireh. It rebuilt fine, but while I was bleeding the system the master cylinder began leaking....it's bore was too far gone. Replaced the cylinder and good to go.

    No this is my second I had a 74 for a couple of years.

    ahh yes the banana! I'm still runnin with one on the 79FXS too, nothin wrong with it, stops great.

    wonder what year they started with those on the bikes anyways?

    I also am still running the original stock "banana" on the rear. They did not use that style up front in '75 on the FX/R models. I had read somewhere that it was a brake designed for use on the old Cessna Jet but can't verify that at the moment.
