Looks like you'll be needing another '47. Maybe a UL to go with the Knuck and 45....

    Re: Tomcat's 47WL Beach Racer

Working on restoring all the pictures here. Need to get back to working on this project. Im getting bids on framing the foundation half walls in my walkout basement this month. In the mean time I want to get the frame finished and painted. Im going to play it safe and plug weld this bracket. what size holes should I make and how many? one on each side? or one on each side and one on the bottom?

Post like yours are dangerous for me, Sean. It really starts me jonesing for something new. You're in the best part of a project, and I hope you're having a ball.

    Re: Tomcat's 47WL Beach Racer

Ok so trying to get ready to braze that seat bracket on. cant get a real answer as to what rod to use bronze? Brass? only thing they say is it's yellow.....So someone suggested silver braze as it's stronger.....So I'm thinking safety silv 45 as it working temp is lower around 1400 to 1500. Where as the bronze is higher at around 1600. what does everyone think?

I traded my only '47UL engine for a '41UL a couple of years ago. Silicon bronze rods are all I have ever used for welding on an OEM frame. Seadub
