    Tomcat's 47WL Beach Racer

Well as requested. Here it is. A start of another project.....who in their right mind would build a bike from just a set of cases? Anyways, I've got most everything for the motor except for bearing cages. I've talked to Lee and gave him a heads up on what's coming his way. I'll meet with him in a couple weeks to go over the parts I have and see if there useable. He said the cams are going to be the biggest thing....and If we need to get them reconditioned its a 6 months lead time so we need to go over them and see which ones I have can be used. I've got 2 sets now. I've also have 2 sets of cylinders too. One at 2.779" and another at 2.740" which I think are standard. The ones that came with have many broken fins and base holes broken. The tanks I have are nice but need some help. I'll be splitting them open to clean and get the dents out. The oil tank is nice, the fuel tank has a bad area in front. Going to be fun!

This will be a purpose built bike. Probably a stroker. And I hope to leave most parts "as is" condition.

"who in their right mind would build a bike from just a set of cases?" A lunatic.

I take it by titling it "beach racer" you have a certain race on the beach in mind? Looking forward to your build Sean!

these are the best cams I have so far. I hope they are usable. I haven't cleaned the dried oil off them on the last one on the right

Hard to tell from that pic but the teeth and the hard facing look good from what I see.
