    1955 khk

I am beginning the restoration of a 1955 KHK. It's another basketcase, missing plenty of parts, and will be full of challenges before it is completed.

The owner of this bike is a friend who got inspired to complete his bike after watching my 56 go together on this forum. He has carted it around with him for 22 years waiting for it's turn, and for now, it resides in my shop. He is also getting schooled the prices of K Model parts!

Here is a shot of the engine after teardown.

Dave, if it turns out half as nice as your '56, it will be stunning. Your '56 project inspired me, too. Maybe 'infected' is a better term.......

AAAHHHHHH !!!! 55KHK !! You bring back tons of memories for me. I owned two of them once. Financial circumstances forced the sell of them. Paps

Are you sure you have enough loctite? You must have worked on these before.

    Ouch.

Is that from the timing being off?
