Thread: John Bordas Speedometer Shop

    Re: John Bordas Speedometer Shop

Just got back a 41-46 speedo i sent him right after Turkey day and came back today looking perfect and asked for a new cable and housing as it didn't have one. He is honest and fair. I know other do this work as well but this is the third one I have had him do and no complaints. Got more lined up to send him.

Any one know if John also can refurbish speedometer cables? The one on my '46 is a little mangled right before the drive at the rear wheel, it could use some love.

I'm not sure John can repair cables, but he has NOS cables, and all the pieces to make new ones. He's made several inner and outer cables for me from Stewart Warner parts...

Call him and send him a pic of the situation would be the best before you spend time and money but I'm pretty sure he can fix them. Heck why not get him to make you one? Might be best way to go.

    Re: John Bordas Speedometer Shop

The speedo for my 48 FL just returned from John Bordas' and it looks better than I expected. Tomorrow I'll go for a putt and see it in operation.

Bravo Zulu to John on a job well done
