Thread: Harley JD Factory Frame Table

    Harley JD Factory Frame Table

I have an original Harley frame table from the twenties and am looking for a few of the fixtures that are missing or that were accessory items on the table. Below are pictures of the parts that I need.

This is the fixture for assembly / dis-assembly of the later fork.

This is a picture of a large accessory add on to the table for working on single and early 45 frames. I'm missing the frame tube brace that is circled.

This is another view of the same clamp.
Also circled is what looks to be a gauge for checking the relative positions of the motor mount pads.

You never know what is laying around so I figured it didn't hurt to ask.
    Thanks
    Mark Masa

Anyone have any of these bits for sale/trade?

I would bet that George Hood might have them. He bought H-D Dealer Eddie Ryans frame table with attachments and frame deminsion prints. They don't look very complicated. Perhaps you could borrow a set and copy them?

George's table is a later style. Mine is the 1922 one.

Mark, do you use the table to work on single-tube frames?
You may be able to fabricate the motor jig, using a known-straight frame as a template.
But I can see the desire to have the original HD part, too.

Always sad to see an old post from Tom. I got a message today that a dear old friend from Orlando died last week.

as my Dad entered his 70's as his friends begin dying off more frequently, he always said it was in some ways they were still there with the memories he held, and yet sort of like a black silhouette of where they used to be. indeed it is sad to think of those dear ones we lose.

Actually George's table is a one off that was made by Eddie Ryan. His blueprints are genuine H-D though.
