    '37 Sport Scout on Ebay

This fellow has the gift of hyperbole, but there's no reserve on his listing. I don't know what he's referring to when he says "Series 600", and I can disagree with his statement "in all original condition having all original parts, everything authentic", yet if you had an orphaned engine you might get a good buy here?

Series 600 sounds like a reference to an early scout 37CI engine.

This already sold once for 9600. It was listed as a super scout.

This might be a good frame and fork, and two wheels, but that's about all that's original 37 ss, aside from some small bits. Headlight, handlebars, tail light lens, tanks, seat, foot boards, oil pump, exhaust, etc, etc are all wrong for 37. The sheet metal looks like nice IHC repro stuff. The frame has deep gouges where the chain dragged on it near the brake crossover, and its been painted over so you are in for some repair. Ignore the text, the seller has absolutely no clue what they are talking about. I think the value here is in certain parts if you need them.

If you are interested, for research purposes, check out JGE's website for 37 ss, and compare the assemblies with whats there. As a customer, I can say not only does Todd make good parts, but he provides a nice resource for understanding what goes into a bike.

I had to ask.... I really was curious about his use of the terms "Super Scout" and "600 series" so I asked him! His reply indicates simply that he really doesn't know what he's selling. I don't think he's trying to be a crook, but the salesmanship in his genes simply got the better of him!
