Finally a Motorcycle Related Painting Project

It took all of one day, but I finally got the Harley Davidson Guitar painted. This is actually my own MIM Stratocaster with dual humbuckers. It is a fine playing guitar. I painted one just like it before and took it on my last deployment to Afghanistan. I ended up selling it to a fellow HD rider and guitar player.

The design is based upon newer HD stuff but at least it is motorcycle related.

Next up is an AH-64D Longbow guitar for the shop wall...

Very cool Fabe, now you need to post a video of you playing it.

I painted my oil tank today with a flat black spray can, turned out okay but it is about the limit of my talent.

I'll jam on it, but remember "Nobody leaves without playing the Blues"

Thanks Tom. I have it all together but stopped at the strings so I could work on the Pan.

hard to see em but the smoke has a bunch of badges & shields:

I gotta pull the pick guard off and redo it. I want it to look heat damaged like the cable jack.

I dig the Blues, John Lee Hooker, Jimmy Rodgers, but I got my old vinyls out today and set up my shop with a little turntable. I came across my favorite band and had a great time listening to some good ol Skynard and working on the Knuckle. I haven't listened to these for more than 20 years. Now I need to come up with more power and better speakers.

The Blues is to music what Harley Davidson to motorcycles, the roots.
That "One More from the Road" album is my all time favorite. Right behind every album Stevie Ray ever put out.
I'm taking this guitar down to an old boss of mine. We may raffle it off as part of the State's annual "Muscular Distrophy ride for a cure". I gotta hear what the owner of the big HD store here in Utah has to say about the idea. If he doesnt like the obvious trade mark infrengment then I'll just keep it and jam with it. Either way I win

Good Luck, I hope they will be okay as it is for a good cause, but big corporate Harley is very protective of trademarks.
