Correct Vin number of 1916 Twin?

Hi people,

I saw this J-model engine for sale at Ebay. Can anyone say if this Vin-number is the real deal?

I thought the numbers must start with "L16" but I'm not sure. Tried to find pictures of 1916 Vinnumbers but no result. The 1916 model is not at http://vintageamericanmotorcycles.com/v/Numbers/ so I'm not sure what it must look like.

It's a good VIN and duffy is right, it's an electric model.

One more question; the engine has a magneto on it. If I understand correctly it should have a generator (because the Vin starts with an "L") . Is there a difference in the timinggear case/cover? What parts are needed to make it all correct?

By the way, some time ago there was a topic about different cylindertypes of the J-model (I think Mark started it). I used the search function but can't find this topic anymore. Anybody has a link for me?

yes the cam chest is different. and so are the gears inside the cam chest
