Glad my post helped out! I'm not too swift on this computer stuff but I still have he instructions and can copy them if someone needs them in the future. They are a little wrinkled from being in the box but I think they will come out okay!

Actually it is the SECOND exhaust support tube bolt that is mounted from the inside to clear the stand.

Yep, that is correct but also the forward muffler mounting bolt needs to be mounted from the inside.
Check your centre stand casting on the right outside and you will see two area's were the casting has a dent to make room for the bolt heads.

If you can scan the instructions that would be a great help. I am hoping that the center stand and mounting kit arrive this week. I have been known to take the path less travelled at times, so instructions always keep me at the straight and narrow.

No Mike, I put one on my 65. The center stand didn't start until some time in 59 and seem rarer then the 59A that started in late 61 by the parts list.
