46wl....thanks for posting that picture....they are in amazing condition for their age!

Actually I am the maker of the bags in the picture .I Have copies of the original production drawings for all seats, bags, windshield bags, mud flaps, etc. made by Milsco for H-D from 1940--1967. With that said there were always prototypes and one offs that never made it into production but somehow made it to the market in very limited quantaties--

Do your original production drawings show 7 holes in the cover straps as shown in the pic you posted?

I'd be interested in the book about H-D saddlebags, too. I'm planning on having a set built by Worsham for my 45FL when I can afford them.
