Show us the bike that got away

04-06-2012 08;27;32PM.jpg04-06-2012 08;27;32PM.jpgDiscussion on the thread about tank shift got me thinking about my old shovel... that got away! It was a 1977 FLH, old police bike. I got her in 1984 or 85 and sold her in '92. Yes I do regret it. A lot of fun was had with that machine. SORRY ABOUT THE STUPID PICTURE ATTACHMENTS. I AM A NOVICE!

I don't know, but if you owned it, I never really felt like when you sell it it "got away". I consider the ones I had an opportunity to buy and I passed on buying and regretted later the ones that "got away"

I say it got away, because after the sale, when the circumstances change at a later date, you always wish you hadn't let it go. Thus, it "got away". I see what you're saying, and if we all had our way, none would ever get away!

I don't have any photos of the one that 'got away' from me..... Jeez, it was 1970.
Basket case 1938 UL-- big flattie. Everything was there, but it had smoked a piston and needed put back together.
I had to let it go.... just couldn't come up with the $150 asking price......
