59 pan converted to 12 volt system. Guy keeps loosing condensers. After reading Sarges post, thought it might be related the coil. But coil works perfectly on 2 other bikes with no ill effects.

Well my time went too quickly, I went lickety-splitly out to my old fifty-five...
Didja notice in that discussion of the coils, on the second page of the referenced International Harvester Service Manual it's titled "Condensers." There might be something there to give you ideas.
I read in that where condenser failure was attributed to moisture in the old days, and we have little condenser failure these days because condenser manufacture has improved, and they are better sealed from their factory.

Is this a recent conversion? Is the generator charging? Did you "flash" the generator before starting? Need more info.
Is the engine grounded to the frame? No powdercoat BS in the way, etc....

It has been changes to 12volt, replaced coil, key switch, and rewired any ideas
