1946 Chief - take apart and put back together
Nice pair of bikes. I wonder if he ever found his plyers.

I was just at this auction. The Indian went for $42,000, and the Harley sold for $22,500. Seems like crazy high prices to me.

HaHa. I didn't see that sell. I left right after the motorcycles sold. It seemed like everything was going for normal prices until the motorcycles came up. So I would have expected it to be a reasonable price.
Man I want that machine. I have great memories of being a young Aircraft mechanic in my 20's hanging out on Echo lane every night after work with friends in a T-hanger sitting under the wing of a Cessna 180 drinking Old Milwaukee out a machine just like that one. I think Old mill was $6. a case. At the end of the summer season, we would bring in all the empty cases and then be able to get another case or 2 from the returns. Good times.

Beautiful Indian, Iowa sure has some nice bikes!
A poor boy plays by poor boy ways
Both of those bikes are very very nice but 2 people must have wanted them REAL bad. Guess that is all it takes. Seems like those prices are higher than fleese-bay would have gotten to. Guess my kids will be happy. My 48 chief with car has 12,400 miles and my 68FLH has 7600. LOL
